IN, ON, AT হলো সবচেয়ে বেশি ব্যবহৃত এবং সবচেয়ে বেশি বিভ্রান্তির কারণ। সহজ নিয়ম: AT (সবচেয়ে নির্দিষ্ট) → ON (মাঝারি) → IN (সবচেয়ে বড়/অনির্দিষ্ট)
Preposition (পদান্বয়ী অব্যয়) হলো এমন শব্দ যা Noun বা Pronoun-এর আগে বসে সেই Noun-এর সাথে বাক্যের অন্য অংশের সম্পর্ক নির্ধারণ করে। Preposition স্থান, সময়, দিক, কারণ, পদ্ধতি বা সম্পর্ক বোঝায়। ইংরেজিতে ১৫০টিরও বেশি Preposition আছে।
