Noun হলো কোনো ব্যক্তি, বস্তু, স্থান, প্রাণী বা ধারণার নাম। Noun পাঁচ প্রকার।
Parts of Speech (পদ প্রকরণ) হলো ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণের ভিত্তি। প্রতিটি ইংরেজি শব্দ তার অর্থ ও বাক্যে ভূমিকা অনুযায়ী আটটি শ্রেণীর যেকোনো একটিতে পড়ে। Parts of Speech না জানলে Tense, Voice, Narration — কোনো কিছুই সঠিকভাবে শেখা সম্ভব নয়।

Noun-এর আগে বসে সম্পর্ক দেখায়। in, on, at, by, with, for

একই শব্দ ভিন্ন Parts of Speech: ইংরেজিতে একই শব্দ বাক্যে ভিন্ন ভূমিকায় ভিন্ন Part of Speech হতে পারে। "He runs fast." (Adverb) — "He is a fast runner." (Adjective) — "Fast before prayer." (Verb)

Pronoun — সর্বনাম
Noun-এর পুনরাবৃত্তি এড়াতে Pronoun ব্যবহার হয়। প্রধান প্রকারগুলো:

Adjective vs Adverb: "She is a quick learner." (quick = Adjective, learner বিশেষিত করছে) — "She learns quickly." (quickly = Adverb, learns বিশেষিত করছে) — Adjective সাধারণত Noun-এর আগে, Adverb সাধারণত Verb-এর পরে বা আগে।
